We were meant to live an abundant life. Grief gripped her life deep into the shadows of darkness. Her legs were moving but not feeling, the voice of her heart not talking, and afraid to be heard. Numbness became her normal with life forever changed. Grief brings haunting isolation at the lowest point of life. The unknown layers of grief creep around corners and come out of nowhere. Has anyone suffered a great loss? Anyone stuck? Does anyone feel alone, isolated? How do broken grieving hearts plow through the shadows of grief? Every stage of grief starts the loss all over again. However, no matter the stage of grief, it is okay to grieve out loud. Sharing her shattered heart with God and others started a shifting, a healing of the open wounds. A fresh wind began to lift each layer, a light began to break through the darkness, and her heart began to feel again.

Walk the journey of deep love along with great loss, Nancy R. Allen shares her agonizing, raw, candid grief as she discovers healing layered with the hope that shines through the darkest of shadows. Healing and hope begin when grief is turned upside down. Through an encounter with God, scripture coupled with constant prayer, a fully abundant life began to unfold.

Nancy understands the anguish which flows out of a great loss, she hopes to add a new perspective, share her warrior mindset there are brighter days ahead. Undoubtedly not without a fight, the fight for your life. To encourage others to share their hearts and stories in detail. Their loss matters then, and it matters now!

A Mother’s Grief Turned Upside Down was written for anyone grieving. Grief can become part of our story not owning us. Turn to God, turn down on your knees, let God meet us where we are in our grief. He will take us to a new place. Grief never stops, but it can shift, and we can take our rightful place in our own lives.
