Mission to Heaven is a gospel-driven journey of salvation between a dad and his son.
While searching for God and Heaven with his vivid imagination, a young boy is met with the mercy and grace of Jesus through a heart-felt discussion with his dad.
This book is a family project! One evening, after Bible reading with our kids, our son, Ryan who was five at the time, told his mom and dad CJ, “I am going to build a rocket ship and go see Heaven!” Katie responded playfully, “Ryan, you can’t get to Heaven on a rocket ship.” Immediately, she commented that it would be a fun book idea. Enjoying making rhymes and stories, CJ started writing but stashed it away for months. It was through a “chance” discussion with a friend regarding a publisher, and a bit of prodding from family that we went through with turning our story into a book, and an adventurous way for you to share the Gospel with your kids.

When not at his day job of making the world go round (really, he sells bearings), most of CJ’s time is spent with his family – a rad homeschool mom/wife, Katie, and two imagination-inspiring kids, Charleston and Ryan.
Together, they’ve climbed skyscraping redwoods, visited mission control and innumerable planets, experienced the deepest caves, explored underwater taverns in the Mariana Trench while examining glowing, hideous deep-sea creatures, and learned all about sharks, cats, and dinosaurs. OK, those might be make-believe adventures around their house and parks… except the sharks, cats, and dino random knowledge, that’s bona fide. They all love Jesus and are active in their Tampa Bay church community. And, they really like National Park Junior Ranger badges.
