Jesus with Boundaries by Paul Belvitch

Jesus With Boundaries: Spiritual Direction and Increasing Intimacy with God sets out to show what a life lived inside of healthy limits looks like. It also intends to depict the results of a life lived as it was originally purposed in eternity.

Though the life that Jesus lived very intentionally here among us resulted in His crucifixion and death, as intended, He clearly demonstrated that a life that pleased God was fruitful and fragrant and worth every bit of sacrifice and suffering. Jesus demonstrated that empowered by God’s presence, it can be done in a way that fulfills His purpose in each of our lives as we learn to “speak truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15).

Paul Belvitch is an old baby boomer who has always been late to the game. He has just retired (January 2024) as a mental health counselor, but at least he had the privilege of working all those years in Florida, mainly in Southwest Florida.

He has a wife, Debbie, of fifty-plus years (married in 1972–you can figure that out), who still makes his heart beat faster in special moments and whom he loves every day. They share two captivating daughters and two amazing grandchildren. It is quite a delightful family experience; they all participate together, and they laugh so much that neighbors call them the “party house.”

He is just finishing the publishing process on his second book, Jesus With Boundaries, and has been writing poetry and short stories for several years, hoping to put them all together in his next book.
