Debbie Camp Costa was born and raised in North Carolina, then left her hometown after high school to attend college, where she earned a BS degree in Art Education with a minor in biology. She taught school for several years before having her children. Debbie then started her own business so she could work from home while her children were young. Later, Debbie worked in sales for the healthcare industry, where she recently retired.
Debbie considers her faith and family to be the most important things in her life. She believes her faith has carried her through many trials in life, which leads her to write, When Heartache Goes Viral: Transform Your Mind. Her book takes you on a day-by-day, faith-filled journey to find peace as you journal, read, and pray.
Debbie has two daughters and three grandsons. When she is not spending time with her friends and family, you will probably find her in her flower garden, working out, or hanging out with her cat, Mica.

- Heartache tricks our minds into thinking we are alone.
- It robs us of our peace and masks our blessings.
- In our sorrow, we wonder if life will ever be the same.
When Heartache Goes Viral is a devotional workbook for women, born of the author’s victories over heartache.
The book takes readers on a sixty-six-day journey rooted in God’s powerful promises laced with wisdom and guidance to quiet the anxiety, comfort the hurt, rebuild trust, unmask blessings, and restore peace. Along with the devotional aspect, there is a section to journal, which provides a safe place to write it out, simultaneously tapping into both sides of the brain, improving cognitive and emotional well-being, and expediting the healing process.
Combining a devotional with journaling guides the reader, setting the stage for God to hear and respond to personal needs.
Mastering the healing process is complex, filled with hurt, fear, and doubt; however, taking each step with God assures true intimacy laced with comfort, eventually restoring peace of mind.
So, let’s take this sixty-six-day journey together, accepting God’s love and remembering to pray for each other, leading to a transformed mind and a healed heart.
