Fill Your Cup: Discover the War Between Life and Faithfulness

Tashena Anderson-Place, the author of Fill Your Cup, thrives on being an advocate, innovator, and encourager.

She was born and raised in Virginia but currently resides in the Sunshine State of Florida.

Tashena was raised in a Christian family, but truly found her personal relationship with Jesus in adulthood. During this time, she has been able to grow her faith and learn to fill her cup daily. You can find the author at her home church, serving as the Kids Worship Team Leader, sharing her love of worship and building up the next generation of disciples, planning women’s ministry events with some of the most wonderful ladies, praying, donating, or giving back to the community in various ways.

Tashena loves spending time with her husband and children, going on dinner dates with her friends, talking on the phone for hours with her out-of-state family, or you can find her in the kitchen, cooking her latest Pinterest recipe. Tashena used to be consumed with watching her cup fill with earthly successes, such as degrees, certifications, you name it. Now, she hopes to share how pouring out what is comfortable or always your favorite and asking for a refill of the appropriate divine roast can change your life.

The sound of the beans shaking in the bag or the scoop hitting the grounds, the steam rising, and the aroma of fresh coffee filling the air. Pausing to take a deep inhale, our hearts and minds fill with anticipation, then the pour happens. As we watch the smooth, crisp, dark waves spin until the cup is filled, we must decide how full we should make it.

Whether you are running on empty or going for a refill, this book is a simple reminder that the cup of life is handed to us freely, but how we fill it is up to us. Coffee has always been a symbol of rejuvenation. The unique thing about the coffee in this book is that it comes from a special source, God.

God likes to fill things that are empty, but will the author make room for Him to do so? You will find out at the turn of every page. Join her on a journey to discover the war between life and faithfulness.
